Mother's Day had significantly more meaning this year, most obviously because I'm now a Mom, but also because I understand what it means to be a Mom...and thus value all of the other Moms and Grandmas and Aunts and women that have had a hand in raising me and the people I care for so dearly. More than anything else, I think I've realized that motherhood is so earth-shatteringly significant...and being a Mom to Judah has grown me and my ability to love selflessly in ways I'd never imagined. It's been a blessing of unmeasurable proportions and I'm thankful every day for the opportunity, but especially today.

First Mother's Day
After church my lovely husband treated me to brunch at SALT a fantastic restaurant in Beijing. I got flowers and gifts from my mom and mother-in-law. Then we had a friend, Cathy, in from out of town, so we got together with our friends for dinner. It was great day.
