And now we will begin my attempt to catch up on Judah's life in words and pictures. Keeping up with the Lion isn't easy - in person or in blog! I have found staying organized a key to success in motherhood (as you will see in the photos below, I'm learning this slowly and painfully...Judah's shoes for his baptism did not make it to the church), so perhaps I need to schedule some time each day/week for this, because otherwise it seems to never get done!
Anyway - here is the account of Judah's baptism. Our church in Beijing performs infant dedication, but we wanted to have Judah baptized and since we were going home around Christmas, thought it would be nice to have family around for this important event. We were blessed to have the opportunity to have Treasure Coast Presbyterian Church make an exception for us (as non-members) to have our son baptized there by his Uncle Dave on December 11th. Dave and Christy then also opened their home for a gathering following the service celebrating both Judah's baptism and Justin's 31st birthday, which took place the day before.
It was a great day together with family and friends, and Justin and I felt blessed to have people drive for over an hour up to Stuart to support our family. We were also blown away (I almost dropped Judah on the floor) by seeing Justin's older brother, Duke, and family walk through the door. Having them fly in from Central America to be there for such a special day in Judah's life meant more than words can express.
