Easter Sunday was the day after our return from Thailand, so Judah donned his Sunday Best as we headed to church. Outside of the Christian community Easter is totally unknown in Chinese society, different from many (more profitable) holidays that have leaked over from Western culture, albeit without much of the religious/cultural meaning. As a case in point, one necessary part of celebrating Christmas in China is texting everyone in your phone book - using emoticons is an absolute requirement.
So, we thanked God for Jesus' life, death and resurrection in the morning, and then one lucky little lion got a visit from the Easter Bunny before he went to bed. Happy Easter from Beijing!
To Daddy's excitement he even got a football player chocolate bunny.
***no chocolate was consumed by Judah....can't say the same for his parents***
